Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

In short: StitchDuck does not collect any personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no trackers. Your photos and patterns never leave your device unless you export or share them yourself.

Who we are

StitchDuck is made by Guangzhou Maling Information Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”). This policy covers the StitchDuck app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android, as well as this website.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics or advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information.

Your photos and patterns

Photos you import are processed entirely on your device to build patterns; they are never uploaded anywhere. Your projects and stitching progress are stored locally on your device. On iPhone, iPad, and Mac they are included in your normal device backups; on Android they are not backed up to the cloud — to move a project to another device, export it as a .sduck file. Exports (PDF, OXS, PNG, .sduck and progress files) are generated on-device and go only where you choose to save or share them.

System permissions

Purchases

StitchDuck offers two ways to unlock the full app: a one-time purchase, or a yearly auto-renewing subscription that starts with a 7-day free trial. On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, both are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. The app checks with Apple on your device whether you have an active purchase — nothing about your purchases is sent to us. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple account settings. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's own privacy policy. On Android, both are processed by Google through Google Play: the app checks with Google Play on your device whether you have an active purchase, nothing about your purchases is sent to us, and we never see your payment details. You can manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Google's handling of purchase data is described in Google's privacy policy.

This website

This site is a static page with no cookies and no analytics. It is served by our hosting provider, whose servers may record standard access logs (such as IP addresses) as part of operating the service.

Data retention and deletion

We don't keep copies of your photos, projects, or stitching progress — they stay on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall it. Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device; on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, copies may remain in your device backups until those backups are replaced or deleted. Files you have exported or shared stay wherever you saved them.

Security

Your photos, patterns, and progress are processed and stored only on your device, so they are protected by your device's own security, such as its screen lock and encryption. We run no servers that store user data, and payment details are handled only by Apple or Google. This website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Children

StitchDuck collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will post the new version on this page with an updated effective date.
